Sing Your Hearts Out, Sisters!

Three Sisters mountains under blue skies.

We are thrilled to announce the re-scheduled date will be Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Thank you for your patience, Sisters!

Celebrate community and sing your hearts out with your friends, neighbors, and folks you don’t even know yet as the Low Bar Chorale makes a return visit to The Belfry. The audience takes lead vocals as the LBC – a group of professional touring musicians from Portland – provides the backup to pop/rock songs of all eras from Elvis to Lady Gaga. Last seen in these parts in 2019, the LBC is known for bringing strangers together to “sing like rock stars”, sometimes in three-part harmony.

Age Friendly Sisters Country (AFSC), the event promoter, welcomes all to join the chorus, asking only that folks contribute what they can at the door to support AFSC’s mission of enhancing livability in Sisters Country. Combating isolation and promoting social inclusion are fundamental to livability  – and AFSC hopes the town will come out in droves for this community-wide event. Sisters has long been known for its rich musical tradition, and here is a chance for everyone to join the band to raise their voices.

Think about offering a ride to someone who might not venture out after dark otherwise. Promise yourself you will meet at least one new person before you go home. Grab the beverage or food of your choice as offered by the fine folks at The Belfry, and get ready to sing.

All ages are welcome, but be aware that lyrics might include profanity, and that limited seating will be reserved for older adults and anyone who can’t stand for 2-3 hours. Don’t worry – the music will lift you up!

For those who are swept up in the moment and can’t remember the lyrics, the words will be made available. Enjoy the harmony and camaraderie of the Low Bar Chorale in Sisters on Saturday, April 13. Doors/social hour at 6pm, with singing at 7pm.

AFSC is grateful for the generous support we’ve received from our grant partner,
The Roundhouse Foundation.
