Press Reviews It
The community website team will review your submission. If approved, they may edit your submission to fix any spelling and grammar errors, or get in touch with you for further questions. The media /press organizations you selected will receive a copy of your press release and they will determine timing, content, and next steps. It is best to contact them directly with questions or additions.

Once approved, the press release may show up under the Announcements and News feature of your community website, and will be shared across social media. Press / media outlets will determine what will be included in their publications.

Submit an Announcement or Press Release
This feature makes it easier to share your news or announcements with local media outlets and press organizations.
Registered users can use the “Submit an Announcement” form below to share their relevant announcements. Select the press organizations you would like to contact, fill out the form, attach any relevant files, and then the news outlets you selected will receive your press release for approval. Please note that while the organizations selected will receive your submission you should contact local news outlets directly to discuss their publishing process.
Submitted Press Releases will also be sent to the SCC website team for review. Once approved submissions will be posted to the announcements section of the website. Content may be lightly edited for clarity or grammar.

Examples of Announcements and News include, employment opportunities, naturalist insights, community project completion, grant or funding options, child successes, local business openings, art events, emergency situations, inspiring community stories, and news worthy local events.
