Founders Day Celebration & Picnic

Three Sisters Historical Society (TSHS) will commemorate the July 15, 1901 filing of the platting of Sisters – the first town in what later became Deschutes County – by the new Crook County Clerk, John J. Smith, the original homesteader of the property.

There will be live old-time music, costumed historical re-enactors, stories from the past, and a fried chicken picnic with all the fixin’s. The adjacent Sisters Museum will also be open for tours.

The event will be free of charge but the number of picnic lunches we can provide is limited so reservations will be taken until full. Please contact TSHS at
[email protected] or call Diane at 541-610-6323 to reserve your space.

We wish to thank the donors who have helped make this possible: OliverLemon’s, Ray’s Food Place, Sisters Dino Market and Suttle Tea.

All are welcome to join in and bring lawn chairs and your own picnic if desired. Please be sure to park in city-designated parking spaces in the neighborhood. We hope you can join us!
