Elemental seeks to present the thinking of top scientists in a visually compelling and engaging way that is directly relevant to most people’s lived experiences – and offers solutions to keep our homes and communities safe.

Following the screening at Sisters Movie House, audience members are invited to stay for a discussion with film director, Tripp Jennings. Community members will have an opportunity to engage in a discussion on how to increase the resilience of our community.

About the film:
“What if we learned to co-exist with wildfires rather than constantly fighting them?” Portland filmmaker Trip Jennings’s new documentary Elemental, includes the voices of climate experts, Indigenous people, and fire survivors, and asks us to reimagine our relationship with wildfire. Featured in The Oregonian and Oregon Public Broadcasting Think Out Loud and voted the Willamette Week’s Top Pick, Elemental is a new documentary that looks at alternative approaches to wildfire.

100% of the proceeds will benefit Green Oregon, a non-profit dedicated to preserving Oregon’s beloved forestlands.
